Scouting for time lapses has been an unexpected joy thanks to South Africa's impressively expressive sky. Nearly every day at dusk, a bank of storm clouds roll in and drench the hot sun beneath a thunderous storm. Having grown up in Saskatchewan, I'm accustomed to living skies, and having left it nearly twenty years ago, I miss it. In a strange way, the South African sky has made me feel at home some 8,000 miles away.
